Tiffany - Brazil - Salvador in the SUN!

Pelourinho, the historical center of Salvador
Queijo Coalho

When we went to bed last night the weather report didn't look so good. We woke up expecting a day of thunderstorms and a trip to the mall and movie theatre. After a short morning walk, we were preparing to head to the movies when out of the window we saw an unfamiliar figure...the sun!
Needless to say, we went straight to the beach which, by the way, is only a block from our apartment here. We both really enjoyed people watching all day on the beach. Also tried some food from one of the vendors walking by on the beach. We ate queijo coalho which we later translated to be a cheese that is produced in Northeastern Brazil that is sprinkled with oregano and lightly browned on a charcoal grill. The vendor carried the grill around and the cheese in a cooler and cooked our treat right in front of us. Great day at the beach....lets hope that the weather report is lying again for tomorrow.
